Weapons training - Claire's older brother is former Air Force and a Special Tactics and Rescue Squad member of the police force. He's also raised Claire since they were younger, and taught her everything he knows about guns and knives. As a result she is perfectly comfortable with a variety of weapons both ballistic and melee.

Puzzle solving/chemical mixing- She is a second year college student and is intelligent enough to reason out somewhat complex puzzles as well as mix chemicals in a scientific facility.

personality: Claire Redfield is a strong and confidant young woman. She handles crisis well, with a clear mind and a level head. Her concerns always lie with those who are less capable of defending themselves, and she is fists out when it comes to defending them. She doesn't put up with bullshit, regardless of who it's coming from, and if she thinks what you're doing is stupid or wrong, you'll hear about it. This can sometimes get her into trouble but that also doesn't slow her down she is just as prepared to mouth off to someone with a gun in her face as anyone.

Claire has a big heart, and feels compelled to reach out and protect others. As a result of this, she comes off as very mothering towards anyone younger than her. If you prove to her you can handle yourself of course she won't doubt you, and she works well with other, regardless of the situation. She does tend to take everything onto her shoulders in a crisis, wanting to help everyone and if something slips through her fingers it breaks her heart. She will try to do everything she can to right whatever she sees as wrong, but this can distract her at times.

When Claire has a goal in mind, she is able to pursue it with a determination that is only rivaled by her brother. Failure is not an option for her, and she can rarely be talked out of something when she's made her mind up that she's doing it. Like riding her motorcycle several hours to a city in another state in order to confront her brother about his two-month-long radio silence. Or going into a mysterious zombie-infested lab in the hopes of finding a cure for an infected little girl. She doesn't always think about how one thing may connect to another, but she has faith that things will work out just as long as she keeps pulling threads.
